ONE OF THOSE DAYS

Today is one of those days that I have a disaster of a house, need to workout and take a shower and don't feel like it, need to fold 3 loads of laundry, make lunch and and would actually prefer to go out to eat (but have only spare change to my name, besides plastic)...but am too "dirty" and still in my pj's to actually go to lunch and I need to go to Kohl's and Target. Did I mention my house has exploded...and I'm moody. For some reason these "days" are always Fridays. Not sure why...at least the kids are doing great today and are in super great moods. Baylor is having a two nap day (he has been going back and forth between 1 and 2) and Averie painted her church pumpkin today for the contest at Sunday's potluck. We also used glitter (AM I NUTS?!). It did turn out very cute! Yesterday we went to the zoo. It wasn't worth the extra $$ at all, but the kids had fun. Sporting their costumes and playing on the slide...and then going to Olive Garden for soup, salad and breadsticks...yummy! Ok, I am hungry, here are some pics. I WILL clean my house today, and workout and shower....I W.I.L.L. And I will go have some caffeine to boost my mood!!

At the zoo...my little angel and my little devil!

At the zoo.

Pretty glittery pumpkin! I hope it wins the contest!

Walking boy! Takes 10-12 steps and walks from things to me without hesitation!

He is also really enjoying his play yard several times a day. And he even asks to go in it sometimes too!

BIG BOY HAS TEETH! 2 - FINALLY

Baylor officially has two teeth! The right one popped through first, but the left one is all the way through now!

Fun in the bath!

We had a fun and busy weekend. Well, Saturday was pretty lazy, but today was busy. We had Sunday school today, which is a first for us. Our church just started Family Sunday School. Averie and I (my mom watched Baylor play and crawl around) had a small breakfast, the teacher read a short story and we did two crafts. One was a plate and we glued pictures of food on the plate and the second craft was a coffee filter fish that we colored with marker (Averie's first experience with markers) and sprayed with water and the colors ran and mixed together! It was neat! She liked it. We then had church and coffee and cookies after church (I was one of the hostesses). So, my mom fed Baylor his lunch and after we did that we ran to Babies R Us to pick up a few things. And actually only ended up buying Averie some under shirts because there was a gap in the coupons from Babies R Us so the coupon I wanted to use expired yesterday and the newer coupon didn't start til next week. So, I put back the bumper for Baylor (the reason we went there in the first place). So, I was annoyed. But the kids took good naps when we got home and I got to eat a little lunch and clean up and relax and chat on the phone. So it was a good afternoon otherwise. And I probably didn't need to buy Baylor a new bumper, I just took the other one out and it has two broken ties (they need to be stitched on by a professional, I tried once and failed). And he has gotten his leg stuck twice in like 4 days...not fun! So, not sure if we'll go back and get it or not. Can't decide. Anyways, the weekend turned out good and tomorrow will be a lazy day since we've had crazy naps and all. Okay, better get moving...my shows are about to start.

Averie painting her pumpkin! Remember this?

Here is the brush that I'm not so sure what to do with!! He was not interested in his pumpkin at all. He just got messy and tried to crawl around everywhere!

HAY, PUMPKINS AND FUN!!

L-R: Olivia (pink hood-bending down), Zigg, Aves, Theresa, Joe (and Nicholas on the back of his daddy-face blocked by cow booty)

I love the pumpkins!

Family photo! Hay ride time!

Goofy boy-goofy glasses!

Queen of the pumpkins!!

Here-eat this!

Hay slide-at the top!

Hay slide-at the bottom!

Hay is so much fun! Theresa, Averie and Olivia.

We visited some friends about 2 hours away on Friday. We went to a pumpkin, hay, apple cider, doughnut, hayride, corn, petting zoo, sunflower and hay maze, super fun place! It was very cool! First you got a stamp on your hand, then we climbed on a few tractor's, hay bails and large pumpkins. Then we ran through a sunflower maze and a hay tunnel (for little ones), then we went in the neatest part (my fav), a huge barn filled with loose hay (squishy and hard to walk on) and bails of hay (to climb) which led up to the slides they had in the barn. It was very cool! Averie did the slides by herself several times and loved it (see pics). Then we went out and picked some pumpkins and rode the hay ride back to our cars to drop off the pumpkins and our stuff and walked back in to the farm for homemade (SUPER YUMMY) pumpkin doughnuts and apple juice (not homemade, but yummy after a pumpkin doughnut). It was so much fun that after we were on our way back to our friends house it was like 6pm...no nap, no dinner we were covered in hay, but everyone had a great time! We went back to their house and played, ate and left around bed time! It was good to see them it had been 2 years (way too long!)! I didn't get any good pics of the kids (shame on me). Mostly Theresa (her brother's Joe and Nicholas- mom-Barb, dad-Dan). We also went with their friends: Olivia and her baby brother Zigg- mom-Andrea, dad-Michael) Matt went to school with Dan and Barb.

So, the week (Matt's vaca) wrapped up great. Many things were accomplished: 3 new doors were installed (white ones in, brown 70's versions out), the pool covered (so sad, sniff), house cleaned (that was Monday, it needs cleaned again already! BLA), lawn mowed, the well chlorinated, deck organized - I think the only thing that hasn't been done yet is the gutters need cleaned out. But it is only Saturday (it feels like a Sunday), so maybe we'll (Matt) do that tomorrow. Not sure of tomorrow's plan. Next week will be a relaxing week. We'll be staying in mostly, sneeking outside if it is nice...maybe making a trip to the mall one day. Not sure yet. The calendar is bare (except for Uncle Todd's B-day)...that is a good feeling! Ok, well, time to go. I have a sinus infection (self diagnosis, but pretty sure) and have been feeling cruddy so I am going to r and r on the couch (with a yummy pumpkin doughnut, ha)! NIGHT!

BIRTHDAY TIME

YUMMY

LOVE CAKE, GOTTA EAT CAKE!!

Baylor's party was very successful! He had a great time, ate well and was overall just happy to hang out with everyone! We all ate first, chili, chicken noodle soup, croissant sandwiches, veggies, spinach dip, fresh fruit and salad. It was very yummy! I actually am craving some spinach dip right now...

Anyways, Baylor got many neat things, clothes and ride on toys. He really loves both of his ride on toys! He is also into noisy things (which is g.r.e.a.t...joking, I actually don't mind at all)! He chowed on his cake...it was great! He literally took both hands and grabbed it and smashed it. And loved it! It was totally opposite of Averie whom just picked a tiny little hole in hers (at her 1st Bday party). But I must say I am glad all the festivities are done and we can get back to "normal." Actually Daddy is on vacation this week, so we are getting a lot done! And getting everyone back to healthy too. Averie and Baylor (and me too, I guess) have runny noses and I have a sore throat. Not fun really. Baylor also had his appt. today and was 18lbs 8oz. (3rd percentile) and 28.25 inches (10th percentile). He is growing, just on the lower end of the charts!!! He also had three shots and was traumatized for about 15 minutes. Anytime one of the nurses would give him sympathy, he'd burst into tears all over again. Silly boy. But he was just fine all evening and day, so they didn't bother him too much!! But he had been on tylenol...so tomorrow could be a different story! We'll see! Well, I need a little down time, more posts tomorrow or later this week. We'll hopefully be too busy doing house stuff for me to post, but I'll try to catch up this weekend!!! :o)

MORE CUTE PICS!!! HAPPY BOY!

1 YEAR OLD BOY

How the Sears photo shoot started!!!

How it ended!!! :o) Thankgoodness...

One of my favs...

Baylor! You're one. I can't believe it! We were admiring you in the hospital one year ago...it seems so unbelievable. You have grown so quick and are so much fun. You are all over the place, crawling and pulling up and cruising. I will so happy for you when you finally walk b/c you are so stinking close!!! And you will be not just walking, but running!!!

Today was a fun day. We went to lunch at Max and Erma's, had yummy food and then went for a photo shoot at Sears. It went well. We got many good pics of you and Averie and then came home for cookies (you went down for your nap) and milk. You will get to have your birthday cake on Saturday. You will love it! We love you so much bud and can't wait to see you get bigger and grow! xxoxoxoxx More Birthday pics to come!!! For the rest of the Sears pics click here! CAMPING TRIP

Camping fun! A walk around the campground. Baylor enjoying the ride with his new flame Babylegs. So cute. They are part of his Halloween costume! ;o)

Hiding her powdered sugar doughnut face!!!

Climbing the slide with a huge grin! We must have done this 100 times!! It was a curvy green slide, she loved it!

Baylor up a tad early the second morning, so we moved from the camper to the tent to hang out and warm up (it was pretty chilly at night).

Having fun!

Camping was fun! It was a little work, but fun. The kids definitely enjoyed it as well. Averie played in the gravel area (around the fire ring) when there wasn't a fire. And liked the swings and slide. She also pulled her ball around in her little wagon.

Baylor loved playing on the bed in the camper (my battery died 1/2 way through the camping trip, I'll post more when I get my mom's pics loaded), and crawling around up there. He also like eating the yummy boiled dinner (carrots, cabbage, green beans etc.). We also walked around alot and went and checked out the beach (which was closed). Unfortulately just as we were leaving, I had a fever, chills, nausea and wasn't feeling good (BLAH), so I went home a slept for 2 hours. Then I felt better though...more camping pics to come! :o)

AVERIE PICS & UPDATE

Big smile...spending time with grandma!

Little Miss Tu-Tu!

Kissing her "baby choo-choo!"

Running the "cat walk" while I sing the "I'm a model..." song...

Happy girl hanging out on her bed...little climber!

* * * * *
Averie is such a happy, sassy, fun girl! She is all over the place, playing in her kitchen, with her baby choo-choo and blocks and reading books! Her words have all the sudden gotten clearer and she is so stinking smart! She also recognizes and remembers more than I can imagine is possible. But she does! She is really into swinging still (outside on her belly), and would spend the day outside if we could. She also loves her two kitty's that hang around here. "Big Kitty" and "Little Kitty."

Her eating is just fine. She is typical 2 1/2 yr old...doesn't care for veggies. She likes cucumbers, carrots and corn on the cob. But the "bean family" is pretty much off limits to her for now. Oh well I guess, I don't force them down her, but I offer them to her like every time Baylor has them...so almost every day! She does like salad a little bit too which is good! So, I suppose I should post about our camping trip from last weekend! More then...

BAYLOR PICS & UPDATE

A sneek peek... next Thursday...O.M.G.oodness

A new trick!

A favorite thing to do...open...close...open...close

A new play yard! Baylor is still getting used to being in there without me! But he is getting better!

* * * * *
So, Baylor is so growing up. It's not fair! He is jabbering all the time...no real words yet although he has said something that sounds like "drop" after he dropped something and I said drop...but that was only once... He is always "talking" on the phone (I swear, I am not always on the phone)...he talks on the remote "phone," the book "phone," it is so cute because everything is a phone. And I really think "hi" just might be his first real word...he is so close to saying it.

Baylor's eating is great. He eats anything and everything we offer him. He has yet to turn something down. Some of his favs are: cottage cheese, any pasta, all veggies (including lettuce, cabbage, lima beans...you name it), he even likes meats, chicken, ground turkey, stew beef and lunch meats. He still nurses 3-4 times a day, but has had some change this week in the duration of his nursing sessions. Like the lunch one yesterday was like 35 seconds long...so we'll see if he drops his nursing times like Averie did...

We have a busy day next Thursday and Saturday...the bday and the bday party! Can't wait...gotta go plan!!!

ELEVEN MONTHS AND RANDOM PICS

Eleven months? Who? Me???!!!

New skill - pushing the "car" around everywhere. He still can't turn it, but he wants to push it. He cries if we walk by it when I am holding him and I don't put him down for it...
