MISC. UPDATE

The family at Thanksgiving.

The kids enjoying their Thanksgiving Day desserts! COOKIES!!!

The kids and their bowling balls!!

Baylor watching his ball roll down the alley. He got down on his knees every time.

My parents and I (it was their idea) took the kids bowling (for their first time!) the day after Thanksgiving. They (the kids) were a tad nervous at first (as they are most new places and environments) but they warmed up and went with the flow. It was so funny to watch Baylor run up their and get down on his knees to help "push" the ball down the alley each time. He managed to knock some pins down here and there. I also got to leave part way through the second game to do some shopping. It was so nice to take my time and enjoy shopping and my iced coffee (sugar free vanilla - from McDonalds. My weakness!) while the kids bowled and then my parents took them home for lunch and a nap! I found some shoes and odds and ends for the weekend in Chicago (that's this coming weekend...it should be FUN!!! I can't wait!!! More shopping!!!).

Averie and Baylor "dressing up." Averie said, "I am a princess and Baylor is a ladybug." They dress up quite frequently these days. They are also into stickers and coloring, Little People, Choo-choo's and driving the fire truck and big truck around the house (ride on toys that we brought in for the winter). They are best buddies and I just love to watch them play together! I am so lucky!

SICK HERE

Well, Baylor came down with a bug Saturday...we were at Thanksgiving dinner up north and Baylor was acting very needy...he even requested a nap part way through the day!! Saturday and Sunday morning he woke up stinky (never does that) and vomited his juice Sunday am and several times yesterday. He finally has kept some bread and toast down today after getting sick twice this am after breakfast... I just hope it stays away from the rest of us because we are having Thanksgiving dinner here Thursday. It should be interesting... so much to do!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

HOT COCOA

The kids chugged down the hot cocoa the other day, they loved it! They also posed for some cute and silly pictures! Cocoa face and all! We are all getting so excited for the Holidays. It will be so much fun this year! I am already ready to get the decorations and tree up, even though if I do that I will be ready to take it down too early...so we will wait a little bit! We are getting excited for Thanksgiving as well and will be doing our turkey hands this week. It will be very fun and interesting to see their responses! I think the kids will enjoy it. I will definitely have some pictures from that later on this week. We also have a Birthday Party-Thanksgiving Dinner-Border Battle Party on Saturday. Yes it is all of those in one with Daddy's family next Saturday. It should be great! I still have to find out what I am responsible for making, but we are getting very in to the Holidays these days! And there is so much more to come in the next month or two! We can't wait!

PINK PRESCHOOL

Here is Averie painting with pink. We painted with pipe cleaners, cotton balls, q-tips, brushes and Popsicle sticks...to experiment of course! It was neat to see what kind of print each item made. Fun fun!

SING A LONG TIME

Here we are on our way home today having some singing time. Keep in mind that I couldn't actually see them while doing the video, I just guessed their whereabouts. You can hear Baylor if you listen closely. He chimes in at the end twice. And then gets shy when I get him on the video. ENJOY!

FALL IS IN THE AIR

The kids are loving the leaves and playing in them, much better then last year. They were raking the leaves, jumping in them, sliding in them and tossing them in the air!

Baylor enjoying the leaves and slide.

* * * * * * * *
Well, here we are at the end of October. It is so amazing how fast this summer and fall are flying. The kids are getting bigger and more mature every day. I love spending my days with Averie and Baylor and just watching how they interact with each other, solve problems and play so well. Averie is so busy leading and directing, meaning that she is busing coming up with ideas and games to play. She is very into taking care of Dee Dee her baby. She is so loving and considerate and like a little mommy. She is so interested in Berenstein Bear books when we go to Grandma's house. She actually has Grandma read them 3 or 4 times each. It is so cute. Now, Baylor, oh me oh my. You are so BIG. You play so much and so well with Averie. You push your trucks around all the time and carry blanket around too. You are rarely a Mama's boy...only when Averie wants me too...then you pour on the charm! You are almost popping out a third molar. And the fourth one is not far behind. They look so painful, yet you are not phased by it. You are sleeping very well. Going to bed at about 8:15pm and waking up at about 8am. You also nap from about 1:45-4pm. Averie on the other hand is in bed by 8:15pm but usually doesn't fall asleep until 9:15 or 9:30pm. And wakes at about 8:15am, sometimes later. Nap for Averie is from about 1:45-4pm, but sleep usually happens by about 2:15pm or so. Not bad for a 3 1/2 year old and 2 year old... and then the time change will come...Saturday...so, we will be rearranging the sleeping thing, that should be interesting, but typically you both have adjusted well in the past. So, I've rambled on and on now...I will have more pictures within the next few days. We just got back from a quick trip to visit Grandma Judy and Grandpa Bill for Grandpa Bill's B-day. I will post those soon!!

TWO YEARS!!!!

My Baylor Boy,
I can't believe you're two. The time has flown by so fast. Baylor, I just love the little boy you've become. You are so sweet, soft spoken (most of the time), quirky and loving. You are so gentle to animals, your toys and most everything! But you do let us know when you don't like something! You can talk in sentences, and communicate very well. You can also jump, run, climb, ride your bike and do so many very active things. You seem to have excellent coordination! I also love the way you love your blanket. Just yesterday you started saying blanket, instead of "bank-ank." It was so cute! You have also started liking "blanket #2," when regular blanket isn't available, that is! You love cars, tractors, airplanes (pan-anes), trains and anything and everything that has wheels, moves and or flies. It is so great to hear you talk and count and answer questions. You are so incredibly smart. Your little voice just warms my heart. I also love it when you sing. It is so cute. You've been singing "Happy Birthday Blanket, AMEN" for the last couple days and it is so adorable. You love that blanket so much, it's your little baby! Just like you are my little baby boy. Baylor, I love you so much, keep growing exploring and learning... xoxoxox Your Mama

3 1/2...CRAZY!

I know I'm a tad late, but man, where has the time gone. Little Miss is 3 and a half!!!!!!

All of these photos were taken during our photo shoot on September 10th for Averie's 3 1/2 Bday!

LONG TIME

Hello all! It's been a while--as usual! I would really love to blog more, but it seems that when our calendar is full, blogging is the first to go! With that said...we have been doing some really fun things!

Visited a lake with our cousins over Labor Day weekend (we only went Saturday, they stayed there for the weekend). The guys (Daddy and Uncle Todd) went to a football game after we had a cookout, we played by the water (and in the water!), went on a short kayak trip (Averie and I, while Baylor was napping) (They have "side kick" two seat kayaks--the kind that don't tip)...perfect for us! We had a great time!

All the cousins. Baylor, Max, Maddie and Averie. Averie decided to try fishing (for real) and caught two little blue gills and a CATFISH!! Yikes! She was so excited and proud!

This was September 3rd. The kids had a fun time in the sprinkler and going down the little slide while all wet and the water was spraying!! This was the first day of school also! More preschool info will be posted in the side bar soon. Check back for that.

Photo Shoot time! The was at a metro park near by. I just love black and white pics!

This last one just cracks me up. They were posing silly for me!

Wow! So, today we had preschool. Folded laundry and played in Averie's room, had book time at their little table while I made lunch (had leftover pizza and veggie burgers, fresh made guacamole, corn, apples and milk for lunch), then had blanket time, book time and went to nap! Then I, watched a little tv while doing some arm exercises, went downstairs and did 20 minutes on the exercise bike, started dinner, starting blogging, then kids both woke up crying at the same time(they have colds coming on and haven't been sleeping well for two days/nights), rocked Baylor back to sleep, got Averie situated in my bed because she had a pee accident in hers, started a load of laundry and now am blogging. Shew. I'm beat! But it feels good! I have to get the boy now, he is upset again. More later!
Served Averie fresh milk for 1 year, 2 months and 5 days! Served Baylor fresh milk for 1 year, 6 months, 1 week and 5 days! Served Colbie fresh milk for 1 year, 3 months exactly!
